Our founders, Liz and Julie, bring a wealth of experience and love to everything we do, ensuring that every detail of Playfull Day Cafe is designed with care and intention.
Meet Liz
As a Mom, Social Worker and creator of a holistic wellness center I have a unique combination of real life experience, business skills and people skills that will support us in bringing Playfull Day Cafe to life. My passion, skills set and experience are truly calling me to create the unique and very needed community hub of Playfull Day Cafe. My varying roles have a common thread of building strong communities that promote belonging and wholeness. Playfull Day Cafe will be a place for caregivers to fill their cups and build connections combating the oftentimes lonely role of parent. Simultaneously, our littles will have a truly magical place to safely play, explore, and grow.
I truly believe that the values and programs of Playfull Day Cafe can change how families are seen, understood, and supported in our culture. For a family to thrive, every member needs to be nourished, supported, and celebrated. We’re here to do just that!
As for me and my family, my husband and I are happy (and exhausted) parents to 3 and 5 year old kidos. We've recently all started taking piano lessons and my lessons are filling my cup in ways I didn't expect. Our happy place is Grand Lake and we make trips up there as much as possible. And while I could type more I'm off to mediate a skirmish between the kids.

Meet Julie
I am a mother and educator who founded an imaginative creative arts studio for children and families to explore their creative self and connect with others. It is important give to ourselves what we give to our children, and that is a welcoming, supportive, creative, and nurturing environment. I am now thrilled to be a part of Playfull Day Cafe; a space for everyone to feel connected, nourished, and playful. Playfull Day Cafe is here for everyone to be seen and to thrive.
My husband and I are proud parents to a teenage son. Our lives have moved on from the busy days of toddlerhood and the wonder of elementary school to navigating the events of middle school. We love to hike, bike, ski, and play — spending as much time with one another as possible...which does seem to be diminishing now that mom and dad are not as interesting as we used to be... so excited to see you join us at Playfull Day Cafe!
